Peek a Boo!

Some of Max's little peers are doing amazing feats like rolling around to travel, crawling, and sitting up. We go more for intellect at our house than just brawn, as you can see in this recent video. It just warms the cockles of my heart!

Six months old!

Can you believe it? My baby is six months old!!!

He continues to be a sweet baby, and he rarely fusses without good reason. He has gotten a lot better at sleeping (especially for naps) lately, which is a real blessing. I just mummy him up and stick him in bed and he sucks on that paci until he falls asleep - usually with no or very little fussing. This is especially nice because he and Sammy are roomies now.
He's just started eating, and has decided it's a good thing:) He likes peas, applesauce, squash, and pot roast!
He is very close to sitting up on his own... though no rolling yet, no matter how many times a day I set him down on his tummy...
ok, maybe not so close to sitting up quite yet...

Another Tooth!!!

Thank goodness, with each subsequent tooth there is less and less drama... she told me in the morning her tooth was REALLY loose (it had been marginally wiggly for a while...), so she wiggled it all day. She had Grandpa remove it while he was babysitting so I could go to Weight Watchers. She told me this morning, after the tooth fairy came "I was really hoping I would lose another tooth because I need more dollars in my wallet." Don't we all:)

That one permanent tooth just keeps looking bigger and bigger... funny funny smile!!!

OK, FINE!!!!

After 10 days on my own while Jared was out of town I was ready to sell the children. But just look at them... they're pretty cute. OK, fine, I guess I'll keep them...

Max rides the Swing!!!

Max rode the swings for the first time at the park today. We've put him in the swing in Grandma's backyard, but this was a whole different experience.

I think he liked it!
On another note... will I ever stop thinking that Sam is the most adorable child ever? Let's hope not, as it probably saves him when he is so un-repentant...

We (well, I) made a snap decision to let Max try applesauce last night. He's in love.

Noodles

Sam was cracking me up while eating noodles.

I loved the way he went cross eyed while aiming the noodles...
and all of that effort to get about 2/3 of the noodles on the floor...
And yes, I totally fed my kids cup of noodles for dinner one night this week. This joint is going to the dogs!

RC power!

Sherry got Jared and Sam some RC cars for Christmas. They busted them out this week, and manly fun was had by all.

Sam just kept trying to make it go to the right place...
but he often gave up and helped them out a bit with his hands.
Even Max joined the fun. He felt very much a part of things!
